Adam D. Stokes

Adam D. Stokes was a Las Vegas native and Nevada attorney whose practice spanned personal injury, bankruptcy, immigration, criminal defense, family law, and traffic matters. Admitted to the State Bar of Nevada in 2004, he built his career serving everyday clients across the Las Vegas valley and became a widely recognized figure in the local legal community.

In 2009 he founded Half Price Lawyers, a Las Vegas firm built around a discount, high-volume model intended to make legal services more affordable and accessible. The venture grew quickly, expanding its staff and office space within its first year and rising to become one of the largest bankruptcy practices in Nevada while also handling personal injury, immigration, and other everyday legal needs. Stokes secured a federal trademark for the Half Price Lawyers name and later sold the firm in 2013.

His entrepreneurial approach to law practice drew attention beyond Nevada, including coverage in the ABA Journal that examined his discount legal model. Adam D. Stokes was born August 12, 1974, and passed away July 11, 2024, at the age of 49.
