Methodology

Sources

Nevada Law Directory draws from official public sources, in this order of authority:

  1. The official public attorney roll for Nevada - license status, member type, admission date, firm, contact information, and discipline history, keyed on the stable bar number.
  2. Published decisions and orders of the Supreme Court of Nevada and the Court of Appeals of Nevada.
  3. Law firms' own published websites (for rosters, titles, and photos).
  4. Nevada Secretary of State candidate filings (judicial candidacies).
  5. Nevada news publications (news mentions, always linked to the article).

Verification cadence

Bar records are re-checked on a rolling schedule by our research systems, with records connected to judicial service refreshed more frequently. Every attorney page shows when its bar record was last verified. Discipline documents are mirrored so links keep working even when the source moves.

Display policies

  • License status and discipline history are stated as recorded in official public records. We do not editorialize, score, or rank attorneys by these records.
  • Street addresses are suppressed for judges and for records whose bar-listed address appears residential - city and state only. Published contact information is business contact information from sources that already publish it.
  • Deceased attorneys are flagged and their profiles carry no contact information.
  • News mentions appear only when our matching meets a high-confidence threshold, and a mention is not an endorsement or an accusation - it links to the article for context.

Corrections

Errors happen - records go stale between refreshes, and matching is imperfect. The corrections process explains how to get a record re-verified.
