Alfred H. Osborne, Jr. - 1934-08-10 to 2018-12-13
Alfred Howard Osborne, Jr. was born on August 10, 1934, in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Pembroke Country Day School in Kansas City in 1952 and from Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Illinois, in 1956, before earning his law degree from Washington University Law School in St. Louis in 1959. He was also a member of the U.S. Army Reserves. Al began his legal career with the firm of Quinn, Peebles & Hickman in Kansas City.
In 1964, after visiting a friend in Reno, Nevada, he decided to make Reno his home. While studying for the Nevada Bar, he worked for the Nevada Highway Department in Carson City. He was then hired by Peter Echeverria, and together they founded the law firm of Echeverria & Osborne. Al practiced as a trial attorney for many years, retiring in 2010.
He was deeply active in the legal community and in associations dedicated to the preservation of the American trial system. He was a member and served as president of the Nevada Trial Lawyers Association, was a National Delegate for the American Board of Trial Advocates, and was admitted to the American College of Trial Lawyers. Al passed away on December 13, 2018, at the age of 84.
