Hon. Robert E. Rose

Robert Edgar Rose served Nevada for more than three decades as an elected official and jurist. Born in Orange, New Jersey, he graduated from Juniata College in 1963 and New York University School of Law in 1964. He was Nevada's 26th lieutenant governor from 1975 to 1979 and the Democratic nominee for governor in 1978.

Appointed to the Eighth Judicial District Court in 1986, he was elected to the Supreme Court of Nevada three times, serving from 1989 to 2007. He died in Reno at age 82.
